And because of this, students who has majors in performing arts degree often wonder if they have an industry worthy to be worked for in an age where poor quality entertainment can be acquired in a single click of a button. Not only those with the degree, people in the entertainment industry with the heart and passion for real art in entertainment often wonder if there is such a thing as a revival in the golden age of entertainment industry. But those in the field of entertainment need to be despondent because there are many jobs that await them in the industry.

Actors

Actors are the most known artists in the entertainment industry, but actors do not only engage in movies, there are many types of actors such as those in stage plays and theatre, there are also those who use specific tools such as voice acting.

Actors often go to school to train, but many actors are not even educated in the art of performing, many actors simply have the innate skill set to act and carry the character they portray. For some it needs years of workshop and trainings. Actors must have good communications skills and must be very resilient to changing schedules and places to act.

Dancer

Dancers are basically artists with the uncanny ability to portray emotions and message through their bodily movements. A dancer does not have to be formally educated, but it pays to know the dynamics of show business when one plans to be in it for the long term. In contemporary entertainment and art, stripping and pole dancing are considered entertainment. There are even vocational schools in the west for female strippers and pole dancing competitions in many countries are also on the rise.

Music Producer

One could also opt to be a music producer when they have an inclination towards music. They are responsible to make creative musical contents, which also includes hunting for music artists and bringing together a group of skilled people such as sound engineers, artists, and staff.

Music producers are also responsible for the planning for the planning of musical events and even the logistics of such. Their working hours and basically flexible, they do not just work from 8:00am – 5:00pm but rather they work until the job are done, but it is also compensated with the salary that they get.

What is important in being an entertainer is that one should never lose the passion to impart wisdom and to make people happy with one’s art.
